How to Read Thai Multipack Labels: Packs, Boxes, Sachets and Net Weight
Thai products are often offered internationally as multipacks rather than single units. That can be convenient, but only when the quantity is understood correctly. A title such as 10 × 25 g contains two facts: the number of retail units and the net weight of each unit.
Start with the multiplication sign
In 10 × 25 g, the first number normally indicates how many boxes, packs or pouches are included. The second number is the weight of each unit. The combined net product weight is therefore 250 g. For liquids, 2 × 300 ml means two separate 300 ml containers, not one 600 ml container.
Pack, box, pouch and sachet are different levels
A retail pouch may contain several single-serve sachets. “3 packs × 10 sachets” means three outer packs and thirty sachets in total. Compare listings at the same packaging level: outer packs with outer packs, or individual portions with individual portions.
Calculate total quantity
- 5 × 147 g = 735 g
- 10 × 23 g = 230 g
- 20 × 35 g = 700 g
- 2 packs × 10 sachets × 20 g = 400 g
Total net weight excludes the shipping carton and protective materials, so it will not necessarily equal the parcel’s billed weight.
Understand the main image
A listing may show one retail unit so that the exact package and flavour remain readable. The title, description and quantity badge determine the bundle contents; do not count only the products pictured.
Checklist before ordering
- Confirm the number of outer packs.
- Confirm units or sachets inside each pack.
- Check the weight or volume per unit.
- Read flavour, formula and allergen information separately.
- Review the quantities in your cart.
