1 pouch × 1 sheet. Total sheets: 1, each 4 × 5 cm.
BE BETTER Silicone Gel Sheet — 4 × 5 cm is a cut-to-fit silicone contact material for a scar-care routine after the skin has healed.
Formula and function
- Each pouch contains one compact sheet, 4 cm wide and 5 cm long. Choose this size for a smaller area rather than expecting the long 15 cm sheet.
- A silicone-gel contact layer provides an occlusive covering over fully healed skin. Maintaining surface hydration is the principle of silicone-sheet scar care.
- The sheet is used on closed scars, including raised scars when appropriate. It is not a dressing for an open wound, active burn or infection.
- Adhesion requires clean, dry skin. Gel, lotion and oil underneath can interfere with contact and encourage trapped moisture; use topical products at separate times.
Choosing this reference
Choose by the dimensions of the healed area and the leaflet’s coverage instructions. The sheet format provides contact coverage rather than the spreading texture of Snail Correction Gel.
How to use
- Wait until the skin is completely closed and healed. Clean the area and dry it thoroughly.
- Cut a suitable piece if the leaflet allows, remove the liner and place the silicone contact side over the scar with the indicated margin.
- Build up wear time only as instructed in the enclosed leaflet. Remove gently and inspect the skin.
- Clean, dry, reuse and replace according to the leaflet. Replace material that cannot be kept clean, is damaged or no longer adheres properly.
Why silicone contact and fit matter
Silicone-sheet care aims to maintain hydration at the surface of a fully healed scar. Consistent, comfortable contact is the practical principle: place the silicone side against clean, dry skin and cover the intended scar area with the margin specified in the product leaflet. The material is a contact covering, rather than an absorbent wound pad. No gel, body oil or heavy cream should be trapped underneath it.
Planning placement and wear
Check the area before each application and follow the enclosed leaflet for trimming and building up wear time. A paper template can help judge the shape before cutting, especially around a curve. Position without pulling tightly across the skin, and remove gently so delicate skin is not tugged. Use only the wear schedule and any securing method permitted by the leaflet or recommended by your clinician. A longer first application is not a substitute for gradually assessing tolerance.
Cleaning, reuse and realistic expectations
Where the leaflet permits washing and reuse, clean the sheet as directed and allow it to dry appropriately before replacing it. Keep the contact surface protected from dust and lint between uses. Inspect both skin and material regularly. Replace damaged or deteriorated material according to the instructions rather than assuming one piece lasts for a fixed number of weeks. Scar appearance changes over time and results vary; there is no guaranteed removal date. Ask for advice when a scar is painful, unstable or needs post-procedure supervision.
Choosing the compact sheet
Each pouch contains one 4 × 5 cm sheet, giving 20 cm² of material before trimming. The compact format suits a smaller covered area where the required margin can still be maintained. Check the scar’s full dimensions first: 4 × 5 cm is the supplied sheet size, not the maximum scar size it can cover.
Care and precautions
Use only on fully closed, healed skin. Do not apply to open wounds, infected skin or irritated areas. Stop if redness, rash or skin maceration occurs. Follow the enclosed instructions for wear time and cleaning. Keep the contact side clean between uses and keep away from children. Scar-care results vary.
