L’Oréal Paris Elseve Extraordinary Oil Extra Rich is the richer-care finishing option for dry to very dry, damaged-looking lengths. It is designed for hair that feels coarse, looks dull or needs help becoming softer and easier to arrange. Within the Extraordinary Oil family, this version focuses on a nourished, polished feel while remaining a leave-in serum rather than a rinse-out mask.

Formula and feel

The manufacturer reference starts with cyclopentasiloxane and dimethiconol. These silicones provide a light-spreading base and smoothing slip over the hair surface. Coconut, sunflower and soybean oils add emollient components. Chamomile, lotus, linseed, gardenia and rose-derived extracts form part of the flower-inspired care story. The finished texture comes from the whole formulated blend rather than a single undiluted botanical oil.

Used sparingly, it is intended to leave dry lengths feeling softer, smoother and more lustrous without an excessively greasy finish. It contains fragrance ingredients including hydroxycitronellal, limonene, benzyl salicylate and linalool.

How to use

  1. Spread a small amount between the palms.
  2. Smooth along the lengths and ends, adding gradually where the hair needs more softness.
  3. Leave in for finishing, pre-styling or overnight care. The official Thai routine also allows use before shampooing and before drying.

Use after your normal cleansing and conditioning routine, or when dry ends need attention. Avoid the eyes and rinse immediately with clean water if contact occurs.
