L’Oréal Paris Elseve Glycolic Gloss Anti-Porosity Mask is a rinse-out treatment for hair that feels coarse and lacks a smooth, reflective appearance. Within the Glycolic Gloss routine, it provides a more substantial conditioning step after cleansing. Its focus is the feel and appearance of the hair surface: smoother handling, softness and a glossier-looking finish on dull lengths.
Formula and care approach
The official Thai page describes a mildly acidic treatment with a Glycolic Acid Complex. Glycolic acid appears in the complete formula. Cetearyl alcohol and cetyl esters provide a creamy, emollient base, while behentrimonium chloride and cetrimonium chloride are conditioning ingredients that help detangling. Amodimethicone adds surface slip and a smoother feel. Xylose is also present in the formula.
This is a conditioning cream rather than a cleansing shampoo or a leave-in serum. “Anti-Porosity” is the product’s range positioning for rough, shine-lacking hair; it does not mean that a rinse-out mask permanently changes every hair fibre’s structure. The formula is fragranced and includes lemon peel oil, limonene, linalool, pinene and other fragrance-related ingredients. Start with enough to coat the lengths evenly and adjust the amount for thick or long hair.
How to use
- Cleanse the hair first and rinse away the shampoo.
- Apply the mask to wet hair and massage it gently through the areas that need conditioning.
- Leave on for five minutes, as directed by L’Oréal Paris Thailand, then rinse thoroughly.
Build it into your routine when you want a richer conditioning step. After rinsing, dry and style as usual; a separate leave-in serum may be used for finishing according to its own directions. Keep the product out of the eyes and rinse immediately with clean water if contact occurs.
