It is designed for lengths that feel dry or rough, look dull and have lost a supple, soft finish. The Total Repair 5 story brings those visible concerns together in one range, with this mask providing a richer cream stage after cleansing.

Formula and feel

Cetearyl alcohol and cetyl esters help build the mask’s creamy, softening texture. Mineral oil supplies an emollient component, while dipalmitoylethyl hydroxyethylmonium methosulfate and cetrimonium chloride contribute conditioning and detangling support. Amodimethicone helps smooth the hair surface. The formula also lists 2-oleamido-1,3-octadecanediol, a ceramide-like conditioning lipid used in the range’s damaged-hair care approach.

The practical result to look for is hair that feels softer, smoother and easier to manage after rinsing, with a better-cared-for appearance. “Repairing” describes cosmetic conditioning of the hair fibre, rather than permanent restoration of split ends. The formula is fragranced and lists limonene, linalool, benzyl salicylate and citronellol. It is a rinse-out mask, so it should not be used as an overnight leave-in cream.

How to use

  1. After shampooing, remove excess water so the hair is damp.
  2. Spread the cream evenly through the hair, focusing on the lengths that feel rough or damaged.
  3. Leave it on for one minute, then rinse thoroughly with water.

Use as the richer conditioning step in your Total Repair 5 wash routine when the lengths need extra care. Adjust the amount to the hair’s length and thickness; an even coating is more useful than overloading one area. Dry and style gently after rinsing. If the mask enters the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water.
