The Maithong story: from Thai spas to your bathroom
Maithong’s story began behind the scenes of the spa experience. The Thai business made and exported natural soaps and herbal home-spa products for day spas, hotels and resort spas, before bringing that experience into a retail range. The company’s timeline records personal-care production for private labels from 2002 and work with hotels and supermarkets from 2005. These are the professional roots behind the brand’s approach to an everyday wash.
Thai botanical ingredients give the range its character. Mangosteen, turmeric, jasmine rice and green tea appear in different recipes. For its traditional herbal soaps, Maithong describes an approach built around cold-process soapmaking, virgin coconut oil and selected herbs. The wider collection also includes crystal-style soaps and soap-filled fibre bath mitts, offering different textures and ways to lather.
That journey from hospitality to home is what connects the collection: a familiar bathroom essential becomes a moment to slow down, wet the soap, work up a lather and enjoy a simple Thai-inspired bathing ritual.
What you receive
6 individually packed soap bars, 70 g each. Total soap net weight: 420 g. Every unit is supplied in its own original retail packaging. The cover image shows the complete lot; the bathroom scenes show a single unit for presentation.
Recipe and format
Glycerin soap base and mangosteen. Consult the supplied packaging for the complete formulation. These are selected recipe details, rather than a complete INCI list. Read the supplied packaging for the full formulation and any updates. This is a rinse-off cleansing product.
How to use
Wet the bar and lather between wet hands. Massage the lather gently onto the skin, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. For a lightly textured herbal bar, apply with a gentle touch. Place the soap on a draining dish between uses so it can dry.
Care and storage
For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes and do not use on broken or irritated skin. Stop using if irritation occurs. Keep unopened units in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and standing water. Keep the remaining units sealed until needed. The soap dish, towel and other setting accessories shown in the photographs are not included.
