Published botanical composition
The Thai-market product listing names senna pods, bael fruit, black pepper, soap-pod (sompoi) leaves, roselle, Indian gooseberry (amla), Chinese jujube, safflower, stevia, garcinia cambogia, senna leaves, cogongrass root, chrysanthemum flowers and pheka (Oroxylum) pods. Ingredient proportions and a standardised senna dose are not published here. Check the pouch supplied for the current composition and any other ingredients or allergen warnings.
Preparation
Follow the manufacturer's instructions printed on the pouch for water quantity, boiling time and serving size. The seller's bulk-brewing note describes one 150 g pouch boiled in approximately 3.5 litres water for 20 minutes and then strained. That is a batch-preparation note, not a validated personal dose or a recommendation to drink the batch throughout the day. Do not increase the concentration, frequency or daily amount beyond the label directions.
Senna and precautions
Senna has a stimulant laxative action and can cause abdominal cramps and diarrhoea. Prolonged or excessive use can disturb fluid and electrolyte balance.
