L’Oréal Paris Elseve Extraordinary Oil Hair Mask is a richer rinse-out care step for dry, rough or damaged-looking lengths that need more softness than a quick wash alone provides. It extends the Extraordinary Oil range’s flower-oil story into a creamy treatment, combining a conditioning base with lavender oil, proteins and a peptide ingredient. Choose it when your hair feels harder to detangle or lacks a supple, polished finish.
Formula and texture
Cetearyl alcohol and cetyl esters give the mask its creamy, softening character. Behentrimonium chloride and cetrimonium chloride support detangling, while amodimethicone helps smooth the hair surface. The formula also contains hydrolyzed lupine protein, a conditioning wheat-protein derivative, arginine and serine. Acetyl dipeptide-1 cetyl ester is the peptide ingredient listed in the official INCI. Jojoba butter, squalane and glycerin add emollient or moisture-attracting components, alongside lavender oil and honey extract.
These ingredients support a cosmetic result you can feel: softer lengths, better slip and hair that is easier to manage after rinsing. The mask does not permanently restore split ends. It contains fragrance and ingredients such as limonene, linalool, coumarin and hexyl cinnamal, so it is not an unscented treatment.
How to use
- After shampooing, remove excess water so the hair is damp.
- Apply an appropriate amount from the middle of the lengths to the ends, distributing the cream evenly.
- Leave for approximately three minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
L’Oréal Paris Thailand recommends using this mask twice a week. Its product benefits discuss rapid conditioning, but the actual usage directions specify approximately three minutes. Use that rinse-out timing when building your routine, then add a small amount of leave-in oil only if the ends need a finishing touch. Avoid the eyes and rinse immediately with clean water if contact occurs.
