L’Oréal Paris Elseve Extraordinary Oil French Rose Oil Infusion is a fragranced leave-in hair oil for dry-feeling lengths that need softness, smoothness and a polished finish. Within the Extraordinary Oil family, this version puts the floral fragrance experience at the centre of the finishing routine. The rose-in-the-bottle presentation makes it a distinctive choice for someone who enjoys scent as part of hair care.

Formula and finish

The manufacturer reference starts with cyclopentasiloxane and dimethiconol. These silicones form the light-spreading, smoothing base, giving the hair slip and a softer surface feel. Caprylic/capric glycerides add an emollient component, and Rosa canina flower extract supplies the rose-derived conditioning ingredient listed in that reference. The formula is not pure rose oil: the silky feel comes from the complete formulated blend.

Fragrance is a central feature. Hydroxycitronellal, limonene, linalool, benzyl salicylate and other fragrance ingredients appear in the list. The oil-serum is intended for a light, non-greasy finish when used sparingly. Apply gradually to polish rough ends without overloading finer sections.

How to use

  1. Dispense a small amount into the palms and rub the hands together gently.
  2. Smooth through the lengths and ends, adding only a little more where needed.
  3. Leave in for finishing, pre-styling or overnight care. The official Thai routine also describes use before shampooing and before drying.

Use after shampoo and conditioner or between washes when the ends need softness. Avoid the eyes; rinse immediately with clean water if contact occurs.
