This is the original Glycolic-Bright Glowing Daily Foam Cleanser, in a 100 ml tube. It is a cleansing step, with a different texture and purpose from a leave-on glycolic toner or peel.
Who it is for
For people who enjoy a foaming cream cleanser and want a clean, smooth-feeling starting point for their routine. Use it before your serum and moisturiser, and choose a separate remover first for makeup that resists an ordinary face wash.
What the formula does
Myristic, palmitic, stearic and lauric acids, together with potassium hydroxide, form the soap-based cleansing system that builds foam and lifts oily soil. Glycerin and butylene glycol are humectants. Glyceryl stearate and glyceryl distearate contribute to the creamy base. The list also contains glycolic acid, salicylic acid, niacinamide and ascorbyl glucoside. Because the product is rinsed off, these do not make it equivalent to a concentrated leave-on acid serum. Fragrance and several fragrance allergens are included.
How to use
Wet your hands and face. Work a small amount into a lather with water, gently massage over the face, then rinse thoroughly. Do not leave the foam sitting on the skin as a mask. Use as your regular cleansing step, reducing frequency if the skin feels tight or dry afterward. Follow with a hydrating serum or moisturiser; use sunscreen during the day.
Precautions
Avoid the eye area and rinse immediately if contact occurs. Do not scrub irritated skin. Stop using if redness, discomfort or persistent tightness develops. This soap-based formula may feel too cleansing for some very dry skins.
