L’Oréal Paris Elseve Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo is the cleansing step for damaged-looking hair that feels dry, rough or less supple than usual. The range is organised around five visible concerns: a healthier appearance, moisture, shine, softness and the look of damaged ends. This shampoo washes away everyday build-up while bringing a conditioning component to a routine for worn-feeling lengths.

What the formula contributes

Sodium laureth sulfate works with cocamidopropyl betaine and coco-betaine to cleanse. Dimethicone, amodimethicone and conditioning guar help create slip and a smoother feel after rinsing. Arginine and serine are amino acids listed in the official formula, and 2-oleamido-1,3-octadecanediol is a ceramide-like conditioning lipid. Glycerin adds a moisture-attracting ingredient to the blend.

L’Oréal Paris describes this range using its KERATINxs technology language. The complete INCI below identifies the actual ingredients; it does not list hydrolyzed keratin. The practical aim is hair that looks and feels better cared for, rather than permanent reversal of split ends or structural damage. The shampoo is fragranced and includes limonene, linalool and other fragrance ingredients.

How to use

  1. Wet your scalp and hair thoroughly, then apply enough shampoo to cleanse comfortably.
  2. Massage gently to form lather and rinse thoroughly with water.

Choose a wash frequency that suits your scalp and styling routine, and condition rough lengths after cleansing. If product enters the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water. Handle wet lengths gently, since vigorous rubbing can make tangling harder to manage.
